Vicarious Traveler
Between my sister and a niece who regularly post their photographs of their world travels on our family Facebook page, I just have to sit and enjoy the scenery. Both travel for work and they have been around the entire globe in the last year and I’m feasting on the pictures.
A niece of mine is a Senior VP of an investment company and she’s stationed in Hongkong at this time. Traveling EVERYWHERE, most recently to Myanmar.

Bagan
Bagan blows Angkor Wat away with over 2000+ temples and stupas as far as the eye can see. Bagan was the Ancient Capital of Burma before the Mongols invaded. Most of the temples were constructed in the 11th and 12th centuries and unlike Cambodia, you can explore this 16 mile area to your heart’s desire – on bike, horse and cart, via hot air balloon, and on giddy feet. There is no other place like this on Earth.

Patao
In the northernmost part of Burma, in the foothills of the Himalayas and sandwichned between India and China, lies the spectacular Patao. Isn’t this so gorgeous looking? I’m getting my midlife geography lessons and really enjoying it ~ without having to step foot in an airplane.
Sigh..I am now yearning for the water again ~ and the sun. These photos do that to me. What a big world to discover through anyone’s eyes!
