Club Volleyball
It was gorgeous in the Bay Area today. My husband had the beginnings of a cold ~ and I’ve been working all week and needed to get some fresh air today. I called my sister and decided to meet up with her as she was watching her daughter’s games (plural) in a club volleyball league. It was held at the San Jose Convention Center.
I think they played three best of three series with three teams. The last set included a tie-breaker. They won ~ but they are tired! It was fun to watch, though!
The kids ~ about a bazillion of them [see thumbnail] ~ took over invaded the next door Hilton hotel [as in ~ they set up team camps everywhere you looked; my niece's team had a hotel room]. The convention center had about 100 different courts. It was literally swarming with girls of different ages, playing serious v-ball. They played from 8:30AM till 2:30PM. Or maybe 3PM. I’m not sure anymore. My poor niece [with a cold!] played a LOT of games and naturally, at 7:30PM ~ she’s passed out at home. They have another tournament tomorrow. Oh, and an ice pack on her knee. Oh my!
Seriously! This club volleyball thing is big! I was amazed. I’ve never seen so many games in one venue all at once.

It helps to hold the school’s track record in high jump!

Seven hours of this!

Oh youth, I remember you!!! Seems like only yesterday!
