Three Dog Night

UPDATE:  7:56PM I think I may have myself  three tired doggies tonite!  They’ve been playing all afternoon nonstop and are tired out.  I’m amazed at how the littlest one is the alpha male in the pack.  Kinda cute to watch.  Newman is having a ball playing.  He’s so not the dominant one and is happy to share.   Puma (black miniature yorkipoo)  rules like a King and is everywhere!  Sammie (white Alaskan huskie) is very shy but was warming up to a neighbor kid earlier this afternoon.  She likes to stand beside me on her hind legs.  She’s the only girl.

Uhhhmm…my cake?  It was a flop  :(    Something went wrong somewhere but ya know ~ there’s critters in my house and it’s just cake.   What’s important is that I still have my bag of Ghiradelli chocolates for tonite!  Friday night!!  Ya gots to love that!!

I thought I’d be able to get some rest today but instead, I’m babysitting two dogs.  There’s simply no time to think of my coughing spell.  I guess that’s good medicine.  I walked all three a few minutes ago and came back with the leashes in a braid.  Not a good idea ~ must do this one dog at a time.  It’s a good thing it’s Friday and the hubby will be home to help me later.  My sneaky son asked me to babysit ONE dog..but brought TWO.  Hmmmm.  Well, the other one is so tiny that it really didn’t matter.   Welcome home for the weekend, Puma and Sammie!

So..since I am not resting, I decided to make Calvin’s special cake ~ remember THIS? – tweaked ingredients for his butter pound cake.  Here are some of the ingredients:

Uhmmm, okay. That’s all I’m allowed to say!  Lots of this and alot of that.  He made me swear not to give out the recipe.  I checked to see if there are other cakes with the exact measurements online and there were a few but it didn’t include the one item that makes this cake good.  Heavenly golden brown good.

It will be done in a few minutes.  After that, I’m going to keep these little buggers in their kennel and take a nap.  It’s the weekend and I want to see my little babyGrands and I need my cough/cold to be gone by then.
